The challenge
Mangia Rewards had a product idea and an app that was not finished. Before the team could market the service or build a user base, they needed a working experience across the web and mobile. The challenge was to move beyond an incomplete build and get the product into people’s hands.
Our approach
We took on the rebuild of both the web app and mobile apps. That brought the work back around a concrete goal: get Mangia Rewards ready for market. A dining rewards product needs to make its value clear to diners while fitting the restaurant experience; the web and mobile products are the bridge between that promise and everyday use.
What we built
- Rebuilt the web application
- Rebuilt the mobile applications
- Helped move the product from unfinished development to market
Results
- The product reached market
- Mangia Rewards is now growing with users
Then we made it findable
We inherited an unfinished web and mobile product, rebuilt it, and got it to market. The local search programme is configured and staged behind it.
- Live
- In market
- Growing
- With users
- 5,000
- Configured population floor
- 0
- Pages generated so far
Finish the product first. Rebuild the web and mobile apps to a state that could carry real users, reach market, then set up the location programme so it can be switched on against a product that works.
Sequence matters
Traffic to a broken product is the most expensive mistake in this work. The build came first on purpose.
A 5,000-person floor for a local rewards product
Rewards demand is genuinely local, so the configured floor sits well below the software default, closer to the consumer end of the range.
Staged, not launched
The ColdStart business is configured and holding at zero generated pages. That is a decision waiting to be made, not an oversight.
No growth metrics are published for Mangia until there are real ones to publish.
